I have a strange obsession: juxtaposing people against vast spaces.

Taking photos of landscapes is a pleasure, but I always feel ambivalence when I see an empty one. It looks detached, strange. But with a person inside, it suddenly feels right. People always bring a sense of reality to photos. A human figure seems so familiar, it can easily transform something that is alien into something that’s recognizable.

It is a measuring scale of our perception of the world.
